Day 1 (Dinner)

You will be collected from your Alice Springs accommodation at approximately 3.30pm and travel to our private campsite at Glen Helen.

Day 2 (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

Spend today exploring the mighty West MacDonnell Ranges. Travel off road to Ormiston Gorge, keep your eyes peeled for Perentie Lizards lazing along the banks and take a swim in the rock holes. Hike the “Ghost Gum Walk” before four wheel driving through the Owen Springs Reserve following the footsteps of the first European explorers . Tonight we rest at Owen Springs, spending a night 'Wayoutback' under the southern stars, complete with campfire, a hearty meal and imagining what it was like for our first explorers discovering this raw and remote part of the Outback.

Day 3 (Breakfast / Lunch)

After a hearty breakfast we cross the famous Hugh River Stock Route with our destination the inspirational Oak Valley Aboriginal Community. Spend time with the Traditional owners exploring the land, try your hand at Boomerang throwing, see ancient rock art paintings and carvings and gain a personal experience of the profound understanding the owners have of this pristine remote environment.

Travelling back to Alice Springs via the Old South Road, stop in at the Erwinga Art site before returning to your accommodation approximately 5.30pm. After returning to civilisation, a hot shower awaits before joining your fellow travellers for a farewell meal, laugh and few cold ales.

*Oak Valley Aboriginal Community may be substituted with an alternative indigenous experience due to cultural reasons and accessibility issues.
